CICC’s goal is to play cricket the way it was intended to be played; for the fun of the game and at the highest level of sportsmanship. Our members are selected firstly on their character and then by their cricketing ability!

Cricket ~ a bat and ball sport played by ladies and gentlemen

Cricket is a bat and ball sport played between two teams of eleven players each.

It has been an established team sport for hundreds of years. It originated in its modern form in England and is most popular in the present and former Members of the Commonwealth. 

There are over a hundred cricket playing nations recognized by the International Cricket Council.  About 15 countries compete at its highest level.  The United Kingdom, consisting of England, Ireland, Wales and Scotland, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Zimbabwe, Netherlands, Canada, West Indies, Asia including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, are all countries where cricket is one of the most popular sports.  There are also well-established teams in Europe, Africa, United States of America and South America.
